The Business Insurance Diversity & Inclusion Institute was honored to bring the industry together during an extremely challenging, yet pivotal moment in 2020 to have real conversations that translate into meaningful action and change. Registrants attend interactive sessions with a diverse range of experts who addressed timely issues that were, and still are, on everyone’s mind. Participants got a breakdown of the Business Insurance 2020 D&I Study results from BI’s director of research as well as a sneak peek at the D&I Institute’s Playbook, which will be available for purchase shortly. 

The recording of this free one-day virtual event was made possible by the members of the Diversity & Inclusion Institute. The recording is now available to all industry professionals to review and share. About the D&I Institute

The Business Insurance Diversity & Inclusion Institute is dedicated to promoting and advancing diversity and inclusion in every facet of the commercial insurance industry. To ensure that the industry remains competitive and relevant in the increasingly global marketplace, it must prioritize acceptance, accommodate varied backgrounds and perspectives and, most importantly, train all employees to embody this core value.

As the independent journal of record for the risk management, employee benefits and commercial insurance communities, Business Insurance is uniquely positioned to lead this initiative, working in concert with industry leaders to develop and further the business case for diversity and inclusion, brainstorm actionable solutions to recruit, retain and promote a diverse and inclusive workforce, and to develop research and best practices for measuring and improving D&I initiatives and outcomes industry wide.

The institute also will work to showcase those industry organizations that successfully achieve work environments in which all individuals are treated fairly and respectfully, have equal access to opportunities and resources, and can contribute fully to the organization's success regardless of race, gender, physical abilities, age, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, military status, body type, or any other visible or unseen diversity traits.
